About Jane
My background
I'm a licensed psychotherapist and have been working with families, adults and children for the last two decades in varying capacities. I grew up in Michigan and then lived in San Francisco for fourteen years before settling in Nashville, Tennessee with my partner and daughter.
In Michigan, I received my Bachelor's and Master's in Clinical Social Work, but it was in the San Francisco Bay Area where I began healing from anxiety and trauma through the power of somatic work. It was also where I received, learned and practiced craniosacral therapy, which has given me in-depth experience with the dynamic relationship between emotions and physiology.
My process
Healing takes time and consistency but I've found that following the lead of our body is one of the most direct and effective paths to healing. I’ve also witnessed spirituality as a powerful component on the path, whether that means connecting with the divine, nature, our inner knowing, creativity or our purpose.
I have a passion for connecting clients with their innate ability to heal. Not perfect healing with zero problems or triggers, but healing that will lead to a life with more joy, ease and freedom.
Who I work with
I welcome and work with adults, young adults and teens of all ethnicities, cultural/religious backgrounds and sexual/gender identities who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and overwhelm. Other common issues include relationships, family of origin, parenting, religious and spiritual shifts, grief, and life transitions. This work can be beneficial for those who have never had therapy and also helpful for those who have had therapy (or are therapists themselves) but feel like it has not integrated into their body and nervous system.
If you want to connect to see if we’re a good fit, please reach out and we can schedule a fifteen minute phone consultation by phone or Zoom. I look forward to hearing from you!
